Dwayne Brown receives High Achiever Award from KC Scout

Congratulations and special thanks are in order for KC Scout's Maintenance Technician Dwayne Brown! On Wednesday, Aug. 17, the KC Scout team recognized Brown with a High Achiever Award.

Brown was hired originally as KC Scout's first ever locator in April 2020. Not long after, he was promoted as KC Scout's first ever maintenance technician. He jumped into these roles at the same time the jobs were being developed.

The maintenance technician is responsible for preventative maintenance and cleaning of field cabinets and cameras. Additionally, Brown stepped up to also assist with basic IT networking tasks to help his fellow co-workers. Brown is known for saying that team work makes the dream work, and his efforts to connect and assist his co-workers has definitely not gone unnoticed.

"Dwayne was instrumental in fine tuning the role and helped create the training manuals for all future people that follow him in these positions," explains KC Scout Manager Randy Johnson. "These new positions were successful because he was the right person for the challenging role thanks to his work ethic and care for others," he finishes.

Brown's interest and desire to help and learn more has also led him to going back to college. He is currently working towards a computer science degree with a focus in networking.

These qualities are what make KC Scout a safer, more efficient, and better place to work. We thank him for his continued service to KC Scout.
