ER Operators attend Child Passenger Safety Conference in Iowa

Emergency Response Operators Hector Ortiz and Kennith Robinson attended the 2024 Child Passenger Safety Conference in Des Moines, Iowa on Monday, Sept. 9 through Tuesday, Sept. 10. The conference included guest speakers from organizations like Safe Kids News, Seat Belt Planet, and the National Safety Council. “I really enjoyed the opportunity to attend this conference and learn ways to help keep children safe,” stated Ortiz. The conference is a way for agencies to network and discuss ways to make a difference within their communities and utilize the proper safety practices. Emergency Response Operators are always on the road and play a huge part in identifying if children are not buckled in safety. “I am grateful we can come together and strengthen our knowledge on how to keep the youth safe,” stated Robinson. Child Passenger Safety Week was Sept. 15 – Sept. 22. Click the link to learn more: Child Passenger Safety Week 2024 | NHTSA
